Looks like actress Sona, who resolved not to do special numbers, is sticking to her policy. Fortunately, Malayalam films are paving way for it — and now she is a busy character artiste in M’town. That said, Sona will be sporting the khaki for the first time in a Tamil- Malayalam bilingual, which is yet to be titled.
Speaking to DC, Sona says, “It is a female-centric subject directed by debutant Dev. It’s a crime thriller and I have been asked to reduce a few kilos for the cop’s role.”
The Ko actress says that she is following a strict diet and working out to look trim for the character. “I hope to shed seven kilos before the shoot starts in January 2018. I am learning stunts as well. The rest of the cast and crew are being finalised.”
But the first look poster, which portrays Sona as a lady police officer having a smoke, has created a huge buzz. “It is part of her character. You will know the reason when you watch the film.”
