Producer SR Prabhu is proud to have been associated with films that value content. He is awaiting the release of director Raju Murugan’s Joker on August 12, and gearing up for director Gokul’s Kashmora starring Karthi, Nayanthara, and Sri Divya.
Speaking about Kashmora, which has been in post-production for quite a while now, Prabhu said, “This film will be a celebration on screen. You name any genre and we’ve covered it in the film. Since it’s a mega-budget film and a multi-starrer, we are eyeing a Deepavali release.”
The producer also revealed that the film has a period portion running for half an hour and approximately 90 minutes of VFX footage have been added to the film.
“This is a film like Magadheera, so we are taking one step at a time to get perfection in terms of VFX and CG,” he added.
Prabhu also stated that this flick would be a game-changer for Karthi. “After a long time, Karthi will be portraying an interesting and challenging role. He has put in his heart and soul for the film. The first look of the film will be released this August.”
On producing Joker, a social satire, the Maya producer quipped, “This is not a regular entertainer. The film has come out well and it is up to the audience to decide if more films of this genre can come or not.” SR Prabhu also has Aruvi, Maanagaram, and Kootathil Oruthan in different stages of production.
