Actress Aaditi Pohankar, a newbie in K’town, has two promising projects to look out for — Atharvaa’s Gemini Ganesanum Suruli Rajanum and Santhanam’s Mannavan Vandhanadi. The former’s post-production is underway and is ready for release.
In recent times, very few actresses get the opportunity to play a role that is younger to the original self. While Jyothika did it in her upcoming Magalir Mattum, 22-year-old Aaditi has got the opportunity of playing a 17-year old in GGSR. “In the movie, Lavanya (played by Regina) and I (Devi in the film) live at an apartment where Atharvaa is a tenant. I play a bold girl who would be asking out Atharvaa. Eventually, he messes with me,” she begins her conversation.
In Selvaraghavan’s Mannavan Vandhanadi, Aaditi plays a similar role. “I play a girl of my age. Like in GGSR, I am this bold woman who would make the first movie in a relationship. Santhanam plays a successful engineer and when it comes to our love life, it is more of my choice than his. Women characters in Selvaragavan’s movies are always headstrong and my role is no different,” she reveals.
The entire Mannavan Vandhanadi team will travel to the US by the end of May and the film is expected to be wrapped up soon after that....
