Some sections of the media reported that Arya and Nayanthara would be coming together for Kalakalappu 2 with Sundar C directing. Now the filmmaker’s wife-actress Khushbu has clarified that there are no plans to make a sequel to the Vemal-Santhanam-Anjali starrer, with the Raja Rani pair. The politician-actress wrote on Twitter, “Sundar C+Arya+Nayan = smash hit. Love it... But the buzz of this coming true in Kalakalappu 2 is complete false news. Sorry to disappoint (sic).”
One may recall that whatever movies Arya and Nayan have acted together, in, have become hits. The rumours of Sundar C making Kalakalappu 2 surfaced when he completed shooting Aranmanai and then he officially announced that he would be teaming up with Vishal for Ambala — something that eventually materialised.
