Only very few TV anchors have made a mark in K'town, like Sivakarthikeyan, Ma Pa Ka Anand, Prajin, etc. Now, the latest to try his luck is popular VJ Bala, who debuts with a movie Kanden Kadhal Konden. Directed by Venkat G Samy, the film, which has Ashwini as the female lead, has a controversial theme based on live-in relationships. One may recall that Mani Ratnam presented this risky idea with finesse in his earlier hit Oh Kadhal Kanmani.
Talking about his movie, the director says, “According to the story, it is love at first sight for the lead pair. But they believe in the western system of living together without getting into wedlock. If they feel they are compatible with each other, they would get married. But, soon they realise they are poles apart. I have dealt with the subject with a lot of sensitivity.”
