Is Vijay Sethupathi out of Vada Chennai?
We were the first to report on Vijay Sethupathi’s inclusion in Vetri Maaran’s dream project Vada Chennai, the gangster trilogy, which stars Dhanush as the lead protagonist. A shooting schedule of Vada Chennai was completed a few months back.
Now, confirmed sources inform us that Sethupathi, who is enjoying a rich vein of success in K’town with back-to-back hits and several films in his kitty, has walked out of the project owing to his dates being wasted three times!
Apparently, Sethupathi, despite his busy shooting schedules, gave dates on a priority basis to Vada... not once, but thrice. Reportedly, the makers could not use the Aandavan Kattalai star’s dates and the peeved actor decided to walk out.
Meanwhile
Vijay Sethupathi’s Dharmadurai (the title was originally Superstar’s
yesteryear blockbuster) in Seenu Ramasamy’s direction successfully ran for 100 days. As a token of appreciation, commemorative shields were presented to all those who were part of the film. In a bid to honor Rajinikanth, producer RK Suresh along with the director and lead actor, met the former and presented him with a shield as well.
