Director K Balakrishnan, who gave the hit film Rummy with Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh, is back with a movie titled Kathayudham. Ace actor Rahman, whose stakes are high post Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, and Joker fame Guru Somasundaram have been roped in as the protagonists. Sushma Raj, who was lauded for her performance in Vijay Antony-starrer India Pakistan has been brought on board as the lead lady.
Talking to DC, Balakrishnan says, “Everyone dreams to achieve something or other in life. The film is about two guys with diversified dreams getting acquaintaned by chance and how they struggle to realise them forms the crux. It has a fast paced narration and I completed shooting my first schedule in Pudhukottai. We are planning to shoot in various places including Chennai, Pollachi and Kerala.”
Kaali Venkat, Thulasi, Rama, Bharathi Kannan among others comprise of supporting cast. Srikanth Deva will be scoring the music.
