Kamal Haasan and Vijay have always shared a good rapport. The two have been seen together on quite a few occasions and Haasan used to lavish praise on Vijay. He also watched Vijay’s Mersal, after which he invited Thalapathy to his house and congratulated him.
For the first time, Vijay made a speech with a good dose of political punches at the audio launch of Sarkar while talking of his foray into politics. Reacting to a query on what change he would bring in if he becomes a Chief Minister he said, “I will not act if I become a Chief Minister in real life. Apparently, I would take all steps to weed out corruption and bribery from the system.” He exhorted leaders to set good examples for their followers.
At a recent interaction with the press, Kamal was asked about Vijay’s speech at the Sarkar event. Kamal said he would whole heartedly welcome Vijay if he decides to make an entry into politics. The Vishwaroopam star also appreciated Vijay for openly speaking about the issues plaguing the system.
One may recall Kamal Haasan had the same view when he had Twitter interaction with fans sometimes ago. One of the users asked if the actor-politician would welcome Vijay taking the plunge into politics. Kamal wrote in Tamil, which reads, “I welcome all my brothers to politics. Vijay is my favourite brother. Not just for me, but for others as well. I will definitely welcome him in politics.”
