Neelima, who started her career as a child artiste in Thevar Magan, acted in more than fifty movies and then shifted to television serials. Today she is a ‘chinna thirai’ star. Now, the Vani Rani actress will be bankrolling a mega serial! Titled Niram Maaratha Pookkal, the soap is the first step in her production career.
Talking to DC, she says, “I have acted in more than 80 soaps and getting into production was my dream for the last 20 years which has come true today. My husband Isaivaanan and I have started a banner called Isai Pictures and we have this new mega soap Niram Maaratha Pookkal coming up. The daily soap has Murali, Nishma and Ashmitha in the lead roles and it is a triangular love story; it has been shot in Muttam, Nagarkovil and Kanyakumari among others places. We are very particular about making quality products and will not compromise on the production value.” The actress says that she would announce her film project soon, as they are in the process of finalising the script.
