If sources are to be believed, Kiara Advani of MS Dhoni and Bharat Nene Anu fame is the front-runner to be cast opposite Thalapathy Vijay in his upcoming film. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 63, the film will reportedly be directed by Atlee, who has collaborated with Vijay to produce two blockbusters in the past —Theri and Mersal.
AR Rahman, who created chartbusters for Vijay in Mersal, has been brought on board for the upcoming film to be bankrolled by AGS Entertainment.
An official announcement regarding the casting of Kiara, whose bold performance in Lust Stories has been appreciated by critics, is expected soon.
Meanwhile, Vijay is busy wrapping up AR Murugadoss’s Sarkar, a film that’s been in the news because of its controversial posters that show the actor smoking.
