Vidya Balan backs out of Rajinikanth's next?
Just a few weeks ago, Tamil audience was celebrating the news that national award winner, Vidya Balan being roped in to play the lead lady in Rajinikanth’s next film with director Pa Ranjith. Sources confirmed that the Dirty Picture actress would finally be making her debut in Tamil with the much-anticipated film. However, in a sudden turn of events, the actress has backed out of the film, according to a source in the know.
“The actress, who was initially on board, has now backed out from the project due to date issues, since the filming has been pushed by a few weeks. The makers are now on the lookout for another actress to replace her in the film,” the source says.
This is the third time that Vidya is missing out on a chance to act alongside Thalaivar. Earlier, she was in talks to act in Lingaa and Kabali, both of which didn’t materialise in the end.
It is also rumoured that another Bollywood actress, well known for her offbeat roles, and who also recently made her debut in the south, is being considered to play the lady in the superstar’s film.
Meanwhile, as anticipated, Santhosh Narayanan is onboard for the film as the music composer. Santhosh had composed some superhit songs in Kabali, and fans hope to hear another Neruppu Da from the talented musician!
