We have seen wannabe actors and directors who successfully go on from doing short films to the big screen. On the contrary, here is Ashok who has done more than half a dozen films including Muruga, Pidichirukku and Kozhi Koovudhu as the lead hero, and has now acted in the short film Sketch. Directed by journo-turned-filmmaker Sai, it is a comedy thriller shot entirely on Chennai roads.
“Sketch revolves around four people who have devised a ‘sketch’ to eliminate the hero within 24 hours. Why they do so, is the suspense. Does Ashok discover their plot and escape? Watch it and find out,” says Sai.
For his part Ashok says, “A lot of new filmmakers are coming up with good scripts and quirky ideas. I am always ready to explore and work with them, for both full-length films or short films.”
