A film on Singapore gangsters
Of late many gangster films have been coming out in Tamil cinema including Kabali, set to the background of Malaysian gangsters. A new gangster film titled Don Key will depict the life of a Singapore don. Murali Ram of Thoppi fame plays the lead hero while popular pop singer and model from Singapore Nafisa Begum Jalaluddin forays into films as the female lead.
Joe Jiovani Singh from Singapore debuts besides directing and producing the film essays the central character of a don named Ace. “The story is set on the lives of gangsters living in Singapore and the problems they face. I have also roped in dance master Dhina and cinematographer Williams for crucial roles. Many artistes and technicians from Singapore are part of the film which is shot in and around the island city for 55 days, says Joe.
