Kamal Haasan's snappy reply to T Rajhendar

After Kamal Haasan entered into politics and started his own party, actor/filmmaker/politician T.Rajhendar has been coming down heavily on him. At a recent press meet, TR criticised Kamal who he alleges is known for travelling only in flights for embarking his journey on a train stating that it is a publicity gimmick because he has never set foot in a railway station for 13 years.

TR also made reported comments on the huge gatherings at his political meetings, saying, “It is not a big deal to garner huge crowd in Tamil Nadu. Even if actress Shakeela starts her political party, a massive crowd would attend, but does that mean it will all be translated into votes?”

Reacting to TR’s comment on travelling by train, the Makkal Neethi Maiam party president gave a fitting reply amidst thunderous applause at his Tiruchy rally.

“TR is my friend who said I was not travelling by Train. I have been commuting silently in trains for the last many years. It was a deliberate attempt. I was travelling with a delegation of 48 people and if all had to travel by cars it would be a huge convoy and more police personnel would have been needed, which is the normal practice by our honorable ministers. To avoid such inconvenience and not to waste money, I opted for the train.”
