Vijay Sethupathi to foray into Bollywood?
Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most versatile actors in the Tamil film industry. Currently, he is busy with half a dozen films at different stages of production. According to the latest developments, it is said that the maverick actor may soon step foot into Bollywood. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?
According to reports, Sethupathi has been approached to play a significant role in a Hindi film titled, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (A Man Knows No Pain), which will be bankrolled by Anurag Kashyap. Close sources to Sethupathi say, “Talks for the film Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota are underway for a while now, but nothing has been confirmed yet. He is yet to sign on the dotted line and is soon expected to give his nod for this prestigious project.”
It is unclear whether Sethupathi’s role would have negative shades in it. An official announcement regarding the same may be expected in a couple of weeks.
If things go as per plan, it will be a major boost to Sethupathi’s career as very few actors from the south get the opportunity to enter Bollywood.
Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, will be helmed by Vasan Bala, an erstwhile assistant to Anurag Kashyap. Abhimanyu Dasan and Radhika Madan have been roped in to play the lead roles in the film.
Incidentally, Anurag Kashyap is making his acting debut in Tamil with Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Imaikaa Nodigal. The director-producer was recently spotted in Chennai with many artistes from the Tamil film fraternity.
