We had reported in these columns earlier that Santhanam, who was part of most of director Kannan’s previous films as a comedian, has been roped in for the latter’s next as the lead hero. Now, in keeping with Santa’s recent flicks, this latest venture has been given a funny title. It has been named Biskoth.
Says Kannan, “Santa and I always gel well and had fun in our earlier collaborations. Biskoth is an action-based comedy and Santa has a three-dimensional role in it. He has two heroines — Tara Alisha Berry who romanced him in A1, and Swathi Muppala. A family entertainer, it will go down well with all types of audiences.”
Art director Rajkumar has erected a huge palace set at Hyderabad and the lead actors shot there for 25 days recently.
Anandraj, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Lollu Sabha Manohar etc. are all reportedly part of the supporting cast. Legendary actress Sowcar Janaki, who has acted in multiple languages with the likes of NTR, MGR, Sivaji, Rajini and Kamal, has been roped in for a crucial comical role. This is Sowcar’s 400th film.
Trident Arts Ravindhran has bought the film’s worldwide rights and is planning to bring the film to screens this March as a summer treat for Santa’s fans.
