Hansika Motwani has quirky role in Thuppakki Munai
It appears Hansika Motwani, who had a lean patch last year, is on a signing spree in 2018. The actress who has shed six kilos and looking absolutely stunning is on board for a thriller titled Thuppakki Munai with Vikram Prabhu in the lead.
Dinesh Selvaraj, a former assistant to Mani Ratnam, wields the megaphone and the film is being bankrolled by biggie Thanu, who had earlier given us the Vijay blockbuster Thuppakki.
Vikram, playing an encounter specialist, has teamed up with the maverick producer after his blockbuster Arima Nambi.
Speaking to DC, Hansika said, "The director came all the way to Mumbai to narrate the script. Impressed with the fascinating story, I gave my nod instantly."
On her role, the Aranmanai star says, "I am doing a character which I have not tried so far. It's not the routine heroine that you see in every commercial film. It is something quirky and interesting. And I am looking forward to join the shoot."
The actress is also kicked about her upcoming dark comedy Gulebagavali where she shares screen space with her mentor Prabhu Deva. "I play a con artist and thief and it's a special film for me. Prabhu sir gave me the memorable film Engeyum Kadhal early in my K'town career. And he was the producer of yet another hit of mine Bogan. And I am excited to play alongside him in Gulebagavali."
