At the promo event of director Lakshman’s Bogan, Prabhudheva heaped praises on the film. The film produced by Prabhudheva Studios stars Jayam Ravi, Hansika and Arvind Swami in the lead roles.
Speaking at the event, Prabhudheva says, “I did Devi(L) with Tamannaah and it went on to become a huge hit. Similarly, I hope Bogan will also follow suit. Ravi has delivered a brilliant performance in the film! I would call him a mini version of Kamal Haasan as he knows all the crafts of cinema. A director can give him the script and the rest is assured.”
On talking about Hansika, with whom he is pairing up for the third time, he reveals, “When I did Engeyum Kadhal with her, she was like a school kid and behaved like one. Over the years, her acting skills have improved leaps and bounds. In our second film, Romeo Juliet, her acting was like that of a college girl — and in Bogan, she has given her 200 per cent.”
Even though Ravi states that the director has attempted something new in the film, the makers are tight-lipped about the theme. A little birdie informs us that they have picked a theme where souls from two different individuals interchange with each other — what you call ‘Koodu Vittu Koodu Payam’ trick in Tamil.
We believe that Ravi and Arvind Swami’s souls will interchange and the repercussions follow the rest of the story. One may recall that a similar concept was handled in the recently released Meen Kuzhambum Mann Panaiyum featuring Kalidas Jayaram, Prabhu and Ashna Zaveri.
