Simbu is back on track

The producer also lodged a complaint against him with TFPC to get back the advance paid to the actor.

It looks like Silambarasan is back on track. Not so long ago, he was on the verge of getting a red card from Tamil Film Producers Council after they received complaints from several producers including Gnanavelraja and Suresh Kamatchi for his non-show for shoots. Things seem to have been sorted out now thanks to Simbu’s mom Usha Rajhendhar, who reportedly mediated with TFPC while giving an assurance in writing that her son would honour his commitments.

Soon after his mom, a former actress, met producers’ council reps, Simbu was spotted sporting a black dhoti and black shirt with a rudraksha mala on his neck as he is observing 40-day austerity in the worship of Lord Ayyappa.

More good news is Suresh Kamatchi has announced that he is reviving his political thriller Maanadu with STR, who had been dropped from the project. One may recall a recent dramati incident when Suresh announced that another actor would replace Simbu in Maanadu, due to his non-cooperation. The producer also lodged a complaint against him with TFPC to get back the advance paid to the actor. Things are finally turning for the better.

Suresh Kamatchi told DC, “Earlier, I did not have a contract signed by Simbu and hence I could not do much at that time. Now that he has signed an official contract and given me bulk dates, he would be joining the shoot by mid December, after he returns from Sabarimala. I also need a month’s time for preproduction work.”
