The multi-faceted Vishal finally plunges into an area over which he has been nurturing an ambition for long. The actor, producer, TFPC president and SIAA secretary, had in fact started his career as an assistant director to Arjun. He is now realising his dream of turning a director for a new film, which focuses on animals.

“My debut venture is a film which is about animals and will be made in Hollywood style on the lines of Cats and Dogs and Marley and Me. The film will be a total entertainer with a huge message. I have been toying with this idea for a long time and it has reached the final scripting stage. I also did a elaborate research on the subject. The preproduction work like training the animals for my script has already begun” reveals the lanky actor who himself is an animal lover and raises his voice on many social issues, especially for culling of stray dogs, slaughtering of cattle etc.

He was not willing to open about the casting in his film and all the Irumbu Thirai actor would reveal was, “Animals will play the major role. The film will not have regular hero. There will be one actress who would be an animal activist in real life who will be featured in the film.”

Any guesses? Our sources say Trisha, who is also an animal activist who says that her whole life changed because of her association with animals, would in all probability be roped in by Vishal. Whether the Avan Ivan actor will himself find a suitable casting slot in his maiden direction is yet to be figured out!
