Actor Varun who was seen in small roles like in films Comali is all set to turn a hero with a movie Puppy. The film, which was dragged into controversy when the first look poster projected Nithyanandha and US porn star Johnny Sins on it, is bankrolled by none other than his uncle and ace producer Ishari Ganesh.
Speaking about the film, Varun said, “I was waiting for the right script to take the plunge as the lead hero when Puppy happened. When director Murattu Single narrated this fun and youthful story, I felt that I should not miss this. His clarity and determination towards getting what he visualized was extraordinary. Samyuktha and I share good rapport and been great friends. We had some intimate scenes, which left both of us in laughter most of the times. And thanks to my uncle Ishari Ganesh for producing this. There is no vulgarity in the movie and it depicts nothing short of reality. There are two heroes and heroines in this movie. Yogi Babu and I are the heroes while Samyuktha and Puppy (A female Labrador) will be another one (smiles).”
Dharan has composed the album for Puppy.
