While Regina Cassandra started this year on a high note with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Maanagaram, her next two films Saravanan Iruka Bayamen and Gemini Ganesanum Suruli Rajanum received mixed responses. She is going strong by signing back to back films in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
Dhananjayan, Sathish and Thiru
The actress is the latest addition to director Thiru’s upcoming film, which is produced by G Dhananjayan. Speaking to DC, Regina says, “When Thiru narrated the story, I really fell in love with it. He is someone who always does research before he finalises the script. It won’t just be information put together, but a cohesive story altogether. I play a straightforward woman in this untitled venture and will join the sets from mid-November. “
The talented actress also feels that Thiru has hit a jackpot by bringing father and son together for a film. “I would say that this is a brilliant cast and would love to share screen space with both Karthik sir and Gautham Karthik. I am eager to work under Thiru’s direction as well.” Actor Sathish has been brought on board as well.
Regina currently has Sillukuvaarpatti Singam, Madai Thiranthu (1945 in Telugu), Balakrishnudu and Party at different stages of production.
