Nandita Swetha, who is best known for her realistic performances, has a slew of films ready for release. The Attakathi actress’ first release of the year will be Selvaraghavan’s Nenjam Marapathillai.
Speaking to DC, Nandita says, “I play SJ Suryah’s wife in Nenjam Marapathillai and there is maturity in my character and performance as well. The movie revolves around a small set of people and I am sure that this film will be a milestone in my career. Also, I have done a grueling fight sequence with Regina, which will be a surprise package!”
The Uppu Karuvadu actress has just wrapped up the shooting of her debut Telugu film Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada starring Nikhil Siddharth.
“I have been receiving offers from the Telugu industry ever since my first Tamil film released. But, I couldn’t take them because of date clashes, and other issues. Also, I don’t want to be a typecast in Telugu industry, which is why my debut there had to wait. When I heard the Ekkadiki.. script, I felt that this would be the best launch pad. Surprisingly, I play a Tamil woman in the film,” she quips.
Nandita is bent on choosing her scripts wisely — “I want to play diverse roles. I am careful in choosing scripts and looking to strike a balance in the Tamil and Telugu industries,” she concludes.
