Mithran to direct a female-oriented film
Director Mithran Jawahar, who is known for churning out family-dramas (remade from Telugu and Malayalam), is keen to start his next project. He had announced that he will be remaking Malayalam film 100*C in Tamil. However, when the shooting was about to start, the entire team had to lie low for some time due to demonetisation.
Now, the director is working on the script of his next film, which is a women-oriented thriller. Speaking to DC, Mithran says, “The script work in underway and we are giving final touches to it. I’ve been helming family-dramas continuously and this is the first time I will be directing a thriller film. The untitled movie has five heroines and we are in the process of finalising the cast in a week.”
Mithran also added that this untitled flick will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual produced by Shoba Rani. She is a well-known person in the trade circuit for distributing Telugu dubbed movies in Tamil and with this venture, she will be foraying into production. “If everything falls in place, we will start shooting by mid-August,” the Meendum Oru Kaadhal Kadhai director adds.
