After tasting success with the female-oriented horror flick Maya, Nayanthara is in demand for similar roles. The actress is also ready to explore this genre despite being directed by newbies. We earlier wrote about the Idhu Namma Aalu star teaming up with director-turned-producer Sargunam for a horror-thriller to be directed by the latter’s assistant Doss Ramasamy. The filmmakers initially considered titles like Tik Tik Tik, which was Kamal Haasan’s yesteryear hit.

The film, finally, has got an official title — Dora. The team has announced that Nayan will be essaying the titular role of Dora (God’s Gift in Greek). Like how a fictitious forest named Maayavanam played a central character in Maya, close sources reveal that Dora will feature a haunted car in a crucial role as it has major significance in the script. Nayan is also expected to undergo a makeover for the film, which is said to have mass appeal scenes in it. Harish Uttaman, who worked with Nayan in Thani Oruvan, will be seen in an important role.  Thambi Ramaiah will essay Nayan’s dad’s role.
