it's Vishal against Mohanlal!
There was a rumour that after tasting success in Nadigar Sangam and Producers Council elections, actor Vishal will float a political party. When we contacted him, the actor — who was shooting in Kerala for his debut Malayalam Mohanlal-starrer, Villain — rubbished it as baseless. “It is news to me! As it is, my hands are full with so many commitments. My focus is also on my production/acting ventures.”
Spilling the beans about his M’town movie, an excited Vishal says, “It’s an awesome script and I have been waiting for a role like this. So, I didn’t let go of the opportunity when my director Unnikrishnan sir narrated the one-line.”
The interesting fact is that the Kaththi Sandai actor is playing an antagonist in the film — “Sharing screen space with Lal sir was enough for me to hop on board.”
Prod him more on his role, he reveals, “I essay a doctor in the film with dual dimension and two different looks. In the contemporary portions, I will be sporting spectacles with a moustache and a stubble. In the flashback portions, I am a clean-shaven medical college student.”
On learning Malayalam, he shares, “The film has a mix of Tamil and Malayalam. I am still learning the language and diction from my director Unnikrishnan, and one of his ADs.”
He also confirmed that Hansika is his pair in the movie. “She will also play a doctor in the movie and we are classmates from medical college. Since we have already worked together in Tamil, we share great rapport and our comfort levels are good.” The actor however says that the movie is unlikely to release in Tamil.
