Prakash Raj’s Abhiyum Naanum dialogue writer, R.Subramanian, who directed the movie Sevarkodi, is back after a gap. Titled Saavi, Prakash Chandra, and Sunu Lakshmi play the lead roles in this film. A thriller drama with the same name was released with Sathyaraj in the lead, three decades back.
The director says, “This film has nothing to do with the earlier one. We have sought permission from the makers of Saavi for the title and it was Sathyaraj sir who unveiled our audio.”
He adds, “The title has a relevance to the story as the hero plays a guy who makes duplicate keys. Sunu Lakshmi will be seen as a sales girl. The straight-forward hero is caught in a serious predicament due to circumstances. How he comes out of it forms the rest.”
Lyricist Nandhalala appears in a pivotal role. The film was shot in the locales of Madurai. Satish Chakravarthi has composed the music for this thriller drama.
