The veteran hero Karthik has made a strong comeback in his second innings as a villain in Dhanush starrer Anegan and as an upright CBI officer in Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Kootam. The actor, who was known to be choosy about his roles in his heyday, now plays his son Gautham Karthik’s on-screen father in their upcoming movie Mr. Chandramouli. In fact the title Mr. Chandramouli is borrowed from a dialogue spoken by Karthik in Mouna Ragam.
The buzz now is that Karthik has agreed to essay Udhayanidhi Stalin’s dad in the latter’s forthcoming movie. Directed by Enoc Able, a former assistant to Atlee, the movie reportedly has two heroines — Priya Bhavani Shankar of TV serial fame and Induja. Both of them made their film debut with a hit movie Meyaadha Maan. The new movie is expected to go on floors once the film strike comes to an end.
