Producer RK Suresh ventured into acting through director Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai. Since then, the producer- cum-actor has been upping his game. He now has nearly four projects in which he plays the lead roles. On the other hand, Suresh also distributes and produces quality films under his home banner Studio 9 Productions.
Speaking to DC about his new project, Suresh says, “I have been signed on to play the lead role in a film called Vettainaai. Director Jai Shankar of Mannaru fame came to me with this interesting script — and there was no reason for me to it turn down. Vettainaai is an action-based commercial entertainer and my character will be on the lines of Suriya’s role in Nandha.”
Shooting of this film is underway in the city and the team is now looking for a suitable heroine for the movie.
Meanwhile, RK Suresh is in a jubilant mood as he won the executive committee member post in the recently-held Producers’ Council election.
“We have already started our plans for the next year and I am really excited to be part of this team,” he signs off.
