Karthi praises July Kaatril director

The film is directed by Sundaram, a former assistant of late ace Jeeva.

Karthi reveals the reason for attending the audio launch of July Kaatril, a film which talks about love, relationships and breakups although the film’s lead actors Ananth Nag, Anju kurien and Samyuktha Menon were conspicuous by their absence. The film is directed by Sundaram, a former assistant of late ace Jeeva.

“Sundaram is my childhood friend. Due to his busy shooting schedules, our dad rarely took us on outings when we were children. One place we frequented was Sundaram’s house in Kodaikanal. We used to feel very happy as their affection and hospitality was incomparable. Late ace lyricist Muthukumar who gave me memorable songs and gave me an identity has penned songs in this film. And, it will be an added advantage. So, I felt it
was my duty to attend this function.”

The Paruthi Veeran star also gave the cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the family of Subramanian of Thoothukudi who lost his life in Pulwama terror attack on behalf of the JKproducer Saravanan Pazhaniappn who had agreed to donate Rs 1 lakh each to the kin of the 44 army and CRPF men who perished in the attack.
