Ezhumali, a former assistant of Prabhu Solomon, turns independent with a movie titled Aghavan. The film has Kishore Ravichandran as the lead protagonist and Kannada heroine Srirashree making her debut as the heroine. Nithya Shetty, the popular child artiste turned heroine from T’town is the second female lead.
“Aghavan means the god who resides inside you. If you go close to him, you become someone good. If you distance yourself from him you tend to do bad things. My hero is one such person who works in a Shiva temple, situated inside dense woods. Two girls come in his life and how things change forms the crux,” explains Ezhumalai who comes from the veteran K.Balachander school. Every ten minutes, there will be a changeover in narration, which is unpredictable, he adds. Thambi Ramaiah, Saranraj, Chinni Jayanth, RNR Manohar are among the supporting cast.
The movie is shot in virgin locations of an interior village Anandhamangalam and its adjacent forests, Kumbakonam and in Jog Falls. Sathya is scoring the music and Bala Pazhaniappan cranks the camera.
