A couple of days ago, it was confirmed that Vijay 61 will go on floors on February 2. Director Atlee seemed to have pulled a coup of sorts by roping in Jyothika, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah and Sathyaraj for his third directorial.
Jyothika and Vijay’s chemistry was much appreciated in their films Kushi and Thirumalai and their third-time collaboration certainly evoked much interest in K’town. But now, it looks like the Magalir Mattum actress might opt of the project citing creative differences. A source says, “After reading the script, Jyothika asked Atlee to make few changes to the character she plays.” However, it is unclear whether Atlee agreed to Jo’s condition or not.
Rumours are doing the rounds that she has already opted out of the project for the same reason. An official confirmation from the concerned will clear the air.
Recently, a picture from the shooting spot image of Vijay sporting a red shirt and dhoti went viral on social media. Currently, the shooting is progressing in the outskirts of Chennai. Produced by Sri Thenandal Films, Vijay 61 has music scored by AR Rahman and story penned by KV Vijayendra Prasad.
