National award winner Appu Kutty, known for essaying unconventional roles, says that he does not see other comedians like Soori o Yogi Babu as his competitors and he competes only with himself. The actor who eagerly awaits Vazhga Vivasai has 8 films in his kitty.
Ask him if he feels he is yet to get the due recognition and he replies, “More than getting distressed with what I don't get, I want to shine in the given roles which I am offered. That way I am contented.”
And no one can stop the film offers that are meant for me, he adds. “Filmmakers come to me keeping me in their mind even as they write the script. They also feel that I would be apt and would not disappoint. I am choosy and accept roles which offer scope for my performance”
Talking about Vazhga Vivasayi, he says, “This film is a significant one in my career as it addresses the problems of today's farmers. I feel so proud to be part of an awareness film like VV.”
