At a time when Pro Kabbadi League (PKL) has been widely followed by many in the country, here comes a movie, Aruvaa Sanda, which will be a tribute to the sport.
Talking about the film, director Aadhirajan says, “Aruvaa Sanda is a romantic film set against the backdrop of honour-killing. My story is inspired from real life incidents. My film’s lead protagonist is a kabbadi player and hence I chose Raja, a state level player for the crucial role. We have captured actual kabbadi matches for the film.
The film will inspire upcoming kabbadi players.” Malavika Menon of Vizha fame is the female lead. The director claims that national award winner Saranya Ponvannan will be portraying a role, which she has not done so far. She also appreciated him saying ‘screenplay and dialogues were full of life.’ The movie has a heart-wrenching climax, he adds.
