The telly actor-turned-hero, Rajkamal’s long pending movie Melnaattu Marumagan, which has French model Andrean starring opposite him, will finally hit cinema halls soon. Directed by M.S.S, Melnaattu… is a story of a boy from Mahabalipuram, who aims to marry a foreigner since he is fond of fair-skinned women, and also considers them to be better prospects.

During censorship, objections were raised about a kissing scene, which appears at a crucial segment of the film. They also wanted the makers to remove an unacceptable dialogue, to issue a ‘U’ certificate. Though the director felt that they were part of the script and not forced ones, he agreed with the censor suggestions, so that he can avail the tax exemption from the government. After all, he claims, the movie talks highly about our Tamil culture and traditions.
