It is now confirmed that Jayam Ravi will next be seen in Vijay’s directorial venture. The team is now planning to rope in Bollywood actor Sayyeshaa Saigal to play the lead role in the yet-untitled film. According to a source close to the film’s unit, the actress has been approached to play the female lead, but she is yet to sign in on the dotted lines.
Sayyeshaa, who made her acting debut in Akhil Akkineni’s film Akhil, went on to bag a role in Bollywood star Ajay Devgn’s ambitious project Shivaay, which is expected to release this year. Notably, Sayyeshaa is the grandniece of legends Dilip Kumar and Saira Bhanu.
Meanwhile, this yet-untitled film also marks the first collaboration of Jayam Ravi and Vijay. Reports further say that Vijay, who always ropes in GV Prakash for his films, has opted for Harris Jayaraj for the movie. Cinematographer Tirru, who recently stunned the audience with the visuals of Suriya’s 24, will also be part of the crew.
