The combination of Siruthai Siva and Ajith has churned out two hit films — Veeram and Vedalam in the last two years. The duo is all set to join hands for the third time for an action thriller film tentatively called Thala 57. This untitled movie will be produced by Sathyajothi Films. Following the success of Vedalam’s background score, music director Anirudh Ravichander has been signed on again to compose for the film.
Sources close to the team have confirmed that shooting would begin sometime in mid-August, and pre-production is going on at a brisk pace. The source further added that the entire film would be shot in and around Europe. The official muhurat of Thala 57 will be held in Chennai in mid-July.
Reportedly, director Siva is now looking for a suitable leading lady, and is in talks with several leading actors. Anushka Shetty’s name is being bandied as the leading contender for the role. Other details about the cast and crew of Thala 57 will be announced in the coming days.
