First look: Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari

Ace director Mani Ratnam is busy with the production of his next film featuring Karthi and Bollywood starlet Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. Sources have now revealed that this film has been titled Kaatru Veliyidai and the team has already gone to Ooty for their first schedule.

This schedule commences on July 8, and will go on for about 40 days in and around the picturesque locations of Ooty.

According to reports, Karthi is playing the role of a pilot and has to follow a weight loss regime to fit the role perfectly. We have learnt that the team is working round the clock to release Kaatru Veliyidai by the end of this year.

Music director AR Rahman, cinematographer Ravi Varman and lyricist Vairamuthu are part of this Mani Ratnam project, which will be produced by Madras Talkies and released by Sri Thenandal Films.
