So far, we have seen Vijay Sethupathi play off-beat and unique roles in films and produce quality projects under his home banner. Now, it looks like the Aandavan Kattalai actor is all set to venture into writing as well. Having spent over a decade in the industry, Sethupathi has a deep understanding about the several departments in the film industry.
According to reports, Sethupathi is all set to write a script for his next film. A source says, “He is working on a story and is writing the dialogues as well. Since he is busy with his present commitments, this project may take months to materialise.” It is said that the actor would play the lead role in this project.
Director Biju Vishwanath of Orange Mittai fame will be wielding the megaphone of this yet-to-be-titled project. At present, Sethupathi is shooting for director Panneer Selvam’s Karuppan. Post the completion of this film, he will be shooting for Prem Kumar’s 96 with Trisha. Apart from these, he also has Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Aneethi Kadhaigal, Gokul’s Junga, Balaji Tharaneetharan’s Seethakathi, Pushkar-Gayathri’s Vikram Vedha and Arumuga Kumar’s Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren at different stages of production.
With Vijay Sethupathi donning the writer’s hat, it wouldn’t be surprising if he announces plans to direct a film soon!
