Model-turned-actress Sakshi Agarwal has carved a place for herself in the industry with her acting skills. While she balances her career in modelling and films, she has taken a small break to hone her skills. Through the ‘Method Acting’ course in Los Angeles that she completed recently, she has discovered her body, skin and has developed a new perspective about acting.
“I was under the impression that cinema is a glamourous world. But, after taking the course, I have more understanding and clarity about what I want to do. I am now critical and analytical about the kind of projects that I choose. Honestly, I am getting a lot of offers in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada,” Sakshi starts off on a bright note.
In her upcoming film Jeyikkira Kuthira directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, she plays one of the leads. “I essay the role of a woman who has returned from the US. It is a strong and bold role to enact. The character is vocal about what she wants in life and makes sure she goes to any extent to impress Jeevan who plays the hero in the movie,” she elaborates.
Sakshi is upbeat about a song in the movie. “I am lovestruck and I would be expressing my emotions through the song. The speciality of the number is that I describe the traits of leading actors in the industry!” she quips.
Apart from films, Sakshi also takes part in several fashion shows. “I would like to associate with several designers and brands. It is a part and parcel of an actor’s life. Doing fashion shows come as an advantage to actors,” she concludes.
