Prabhudheva mourns death of crew members, asks fans to take back birthday cake

The actor reportedly asked his fans to take back the birthday cake they had offered him.

Currently, actor-director Prabhudeva is busy shooting for his upcoming flick Yung Mung Chung under debutant Arjun’s direction. Produced by Vasan Visual Ventures, the film has Lakshmi Menon teaming up with him for the first time. The choreographer and director, who made a comeback as an actor with last year’s horror flick Devi(L),will be seen as a Kung Fu master in this film, which is set in the 1960s and 70s. The dancing legend turned 44 recently (April 3).

On April 3, the shooting was underway at a temple and his fans had brought a huge cake with the icing — Happy Birthday ‘Yung’ Prabhudheva. But apparently, he was not in a happy mood and turned down the celebrations. The reason for it was the death of three crew members of Yung Mung Chung! They passed away in an accident while they were carrying food for the unit members from Kumbakonam.

Prabhudeva reportedly said, “No birthday celebrations this year. My heart goes for those who perished in that accident.” He also asked the fans to take back the cake.
