Another addition to Vikram's next

In her three-year long career, Priyanka has played the female lead in most of the films she was a part of.

Actress Sri Priyanka, who was a part of the Guinness award-winning film Agadam (a single shot movie), went on to act in several small-budget films like Vandha Mala, Kodai Mazhai, Kangaroo and many more. At several instances, Priyanka has made it a point to voice her opinion about Tamil-speaking heroines not being given much importance in Kollywood.

In her three-year long career, Priyanka has played the female lead in most of the films she was a part of. Now, she has got the opportunity to play a key role in director Vijay Chandar’s upcoming film starring Vikram and Tamannaah in the lead roles. Speaking about this project, the actress says, “It is significant role and I have scenes with both the actors. I play a homely character in the movie. This opportunity will be a turning point in my career and will give me a huge break.”
Priyanka has already joined the sets and the shooting is underway in the city.

“The entire set is welcoming and both Vikram and Tamannaah appreciated my performance. In fact, I am having a great time with the latter! Also, I don’t mind playing supporting roles in big films like these. It was the character etched by Vijay Chandar, that made me take up the movie,” she explains.

The actress also claims that her ambition in life as an actor is to stand the test of time. “These days, Tamil actresses are not getting the recognition that they are entitled to. I wish to break the stereotype and last long in the industry,” she concludes.
