Athulya Ravi of Kadhal Kan Kattudhe fame who was in the news for her bold role and scenes involving her as a cigarette-smoking woman and with a bare back in Yemaali, has been brought on board for Suttu Pidikka Uttharavu directed by Ramprakash Rayappa.
The crime thriller has Vikranth, director Mysskin, and Suseendhran on board and Athulya will be seen opposite Vikranth. While Mysskin plays an undercover cop, Vikranth and Suseendhran work in a private security service.
Sources reveal that Athulya has a bold and meaty role in SPU. “I am confident that my role will be received well by audiences,” Athulya says with a smile.
Although Ramprakash had earlier announced a casting call for the heroines, he has to settle for Athulya Ravi. “We auditioned a few newcomers as well as up and coming actresses. I felt Athulya was focused and did her auditions well,” Ramprakash said.
