Santosh Sivan to crank camera in Rajinikanth film after 27 years

It looks like Rajinikanth wants to make the most of it in his film career before entering full time into politics. As revealed by AR Murugadoss to this newspaper, he will be teaming up with the Superstar for the first time. ARM had said in an earlier interview that he has narrated to Rajini a script for a film to commence after 2.O. Lyca Productions may be bankrolling the project that is expected to go on floors after the release of Rajini’s Pongal film Petta.

The latest we hear is that Santosh Sivan will be cranking the camera. Sivan has collaborated with ARM in films like Thuppaki and Spyder. If the deal comes through, the renowned cinematographer will be joining hands with Rajinikanth after a gap of 27 years, their earlier film together being the cult classic Thalapathi in 1991. Also, speculation is rife whether this film will be Rajini’s last project before he plunges into politics full time.
