Rakul Preet Singh has been signing films in all three languages — Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. While she has just signed a film opposite Siddharth Malhotra in Hindi, she also stars in a film opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Tamil. And in Telugu, she’s paired opposite Naga Chaitanya in a multi-starrer, directed by Bobby, apart from playing Sridevi in NTR biopic.
Ask her the secret to strike a perfect balance with projects in all the languages, and she replies, “This is something I have not planned. I just go with the flow, and look whether a particular project would fit into my scheme of things before I take it up. But once I take it up, I give my best shot.”Admitting that it is tough and challenging to travel and juggle between various sets, she describes films as her passion, which keeps her going. “I like being a workaholic, and I am also fortunate because of the kind of projects that are coming my way are exciting and make me walk the extra mile. But having said that, yes, the body does take a toll. Also, I have to forgo things like staying at home, binging on home food, etc.,” she shares.
What does working in multiple industries mean to her? “I have learnt so much because of the different roles I have taken up in various industries. I got the opportunity to explore acting possibilities; all this has helped me to evolve as an actor,” Rakul explains.
