Sathya has lived up to its blockbuster title: Sathyaraj
Actor Sathyaraj, who is producing his son Sibiraj’s movie Sathya, which is a remake of Tollywood hit Kshanam, says that it was Prabhas, who gave him the confidence to go ahead with it, while they were shooting together for Baahubali.
“First things first, I am extremely happy to share that I got back whatever I have invested for Sathya. When Sibiraj told me about Kshanam, I was shooting with Prabhas for Baahubali in Hyderabad. When I asked him about the film, he said that Kshanam broke the myth that hit films should have only big heroes. It proved that content is the king and his words gave me more confidence to remake the film. I didn’t watch the film even after buying the rights. One of the biggest highlights in Sathya is the selection of actors and they have done a brilliant job. I watched the film and I am gratified that the film has lived up to the expectations of the blockbuster title Sathya, given magnanimously by Kamal sir.”
Directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy, the film has Remya Nambeesan, Varalaxmi, Satish and Anandaraj, among the others in the cast. Sibi, on his part, said, “After buying the remake rights of Kshanam, I announced that on my Twitter account. Seeing this, Vijay Antony sir, who was working with Pradeep in Saithaan, suggested his name. That’s how he was brought on board. And as promised, he has shown me in a different dimension.”
We hear you refused doing onscreen lip locks with Remya. “Yes it is true! The reason being my little son Dheeran! He sees me as a role model and copies whatever I do. Imagine if he sees one of my lip locks and repeats it at his school (laughs),” Sibi responded light-heartedly.
