But despite being a Tamilian and a bundle of talent, success eludes her. Now after careful thought, the dusky girl has rechristened herself as Shree Ja for better fortunes.
The actress recently launched a marriage app in the city and interacted with the press. She remarked on an earlier occasion where Vijay Sethupathi was the chief guest, that there is an increasing trend of Tamil-speaking actresses being neglected by filmmakers, and heroines from other states being signed instead. Sethupathi, on his part, said that he would definitely make use of her talents when opportunity comes.
We ask if Sethupathi responded as promised? “Yes, a few filmmakers, as well as Vijay Sethupathi sir did call and speak to me. I am just waiting for the right script,” Shree Ja says with a confident smile. Looks like the name change is already working things in her favour...
