EXclusive: Maddy-Sethupathy to reunite for Vikram Vedha sequel?
After the implementation of GST, theatres in Tamil Nadu were having a dry run until the director duo Pushkar-Gayathri’s Vikram Vedha hit the screens. The film, featuring Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath and Varalaxmi has been receiving a humongous reception from the audience and critics alike.
Rumours are floating around now saying that there might be a sequel to Vikram Vedha since it had an open-ended climax. As of now, the film is getting a remake in Hindi and Telugu. When DC called Pushkar to check if they’re helming the Telugu version, he said, “We’re yet to decide on it. The movie is receiving a great response and right now, we’re just enjoying its successful run.” Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh are being considered for the Telugu remake.
It was also speculated that the director duo will once again helm a film for producer Y Not Sashikanth who funded Vikram Vedha. Rubbishing these rumours, Pushkar reveals, “Right now, we are not thinking about our next project. After a while, we will start working on our next script and will eventually figure out the cast and crew later. As of now, we don’t have any script that is ready to take off.”
