On Saturday, the press who had gathered for the preview show of Velu Prabhakaran’s Oru Iyakkunarin Kadhal Diary was in for a surprise! The reason being the director, known for his controversial adult movies, tied the knot with actress Shirley Das, who was Prabhakaran’s heroine in Kadhal Arangam and had created ripples with her nude and seminude scenes then. The 60-year-old Velu and Shirley, 35 united in wedlock by exchanging rings in front of the press and media.
KR Vijaya returns with a unique role
At the audio launch of Maya Mohini, a ghost thriller, which marks the return of yesteryear heroine, KR Vijaya in a crucial role, producer Abirami Ramanathan recounted an interesting incident, which happened many years back, with the ace actress.
“Besides cinema,” he said, adding, “I have a long-standing relationship with K.R.Vijaya madam. I bought the entire bricks needed to construct my Abirami Mega Mall from her factory. I hope KR Vijaya, the powerhouse performer, who’s picky about her roles, would be seen in a different light in MM directed by Rasa Vikram.”
