Balu Anand passes away
Apart from direction, Balu was known for his acting he featured in more than 100 roles, predominantly as comedian or villain.
Popular filmmaker-turned-actor Balu Anand, who had worked with the likes of Vijayakanth and Sathyaraj, died of a heart attack in his native place Kovai, on Friday morning.
Having directed super-hit films like Naane Raja Naane Manthiri, Anna Nagar Mudhal Theru, Unakkaaga Pirandhen, Balu Anand also assisted ace R Sundarrajan for about 28 films, before turning into an independent filmmaker.
Apart from direction, Balu was known for his acting — he featured in more than 100 roles, predominantly as comedian or villain. He was aged 62 and is survived by wife and two children.
